Barbara Schroeder. MD - Obstetrics & Gynecologist

Letter to My Patients

For those of you who have been my patients since I first started practicing, I appreciate your loyalty. It has been a wonderful 17 years and I am privileged to have been a part of you and your families’ lives. I am honored that you have placed your trust in me for all these years. The many hours I have spent with each of you have taught me a lot about not just medicine, but about life and about myself. It never ceases to amaze me how resilient and strong you all are even when faced with adversities in your lives. Ob-gyn as a specialty is a very private and personal area and I have seen how strong and courageous many of you have been in sharing your most intimate concerns with me.

I realize that for some of you this move will create some strain in terms of travel but I hope that we can continue our journey together and if there is anything I can do to make this transition easier for you please let me know.

For the first half of my career I have been able to devote the majority of my time to my patients. However, now my children are getting to the ages where they will require more of my assistance and the difficulty of choosing between my patients and my family has prompted me to look for a good solution. Given the proximity of Memorial City Hospital to my children’s schools and my home I have decided that by moving my practice I will be able to still devote the necessary time to both loves of my life, ob-gyn and my family.

I thank you from the bottom of my heart. For those of you who will still choose to come see me I look forward to our future together.  For those of you who are unable to continue to see me, I understand and I wish you the best of luck.

Respectfully yours,

Barbara Schroeder. MD
